RAW was a collective of artists and activists in Washtenaw County, Michigan, that coalesced after the police murder of Aura Rosser in Ann Arbor in November of 2014. Among our aims was to empower Black youth to be more involved in their community; to aid in the struggle against the increasing economic segregation in this county; to offer love and protection to the downtrodden; to be in the streets; to post art, sounds, and writing by ourselves as well as by anyone who moves this movement; to expose abuse when we learn of it; and to erode white ignorance about Black Life and its many plights.
